About Recovery Nutrition

Nutrition coaching and behaviour change

What would it feel like to be listened to and heard?

I’m here to properly listen to your story. Perhaps you’ve asked for help and got nowhere, or maybe people haven’t taken the time to put together the pieces of the puzzle.

I believe that understanding the whole picture can help you figure out what’s holding you back. Only then can you shift unhealthy patterns and make positive changes for the future.

Share your story, without judgement

I hold space for you to share your story without fear of judgement.

That’s because I know what’s it like to feel at rock bottom, to lack hope for the future. I struggled with low mood, alcohol and nicotine addictions and binge-eating for decades. It all came to a head during peri-menopause, when I was also experiencing bereavement and a career crisis, and I had no choice but to tackle my addictive behaviours head-on. I have been sober since July 2015, and I am now nicotine-free and no longer binge-eat.

At 56, I feel healthier and stronger than I’ve ever done before. Yes, there are still days when it’s a struggle, but life is so much brighter.

I’m here to guide you on your journey

I became fascinated by the relationship between physical and mental health and so many things fell into place. I retrained as a naturopathic nutritionist to help others transform their lives with small, practical changes to diet and lifestyle. When I understood that to sustain change, we need to go deeper I trained in transformational coaching and other modalities so that I can offer holistic support.

Now, I want to share the wisdom from my journey to help others get back to feeling their best.

I get that being kind to yourself is the hardest thing. I’m here to support you in moving from judging yourself to feeling proud of the changes you’ve made.

A compassionate approach

Kindness sets you up for a healthier, long-term relationship with yourself. Because guilt and denial are not a recipe for feeling good.

Here’s how I put a compassionate approach into practice:

•   We delve deep and uncover what’s driving unhelpful patterns of behaviour. Understanding the why is the first step to forgiveness.

•   We look at realistic changes to fit your lifestyle rather than fixating on the perfect diet.

•   We focus on going gently and building habits for the long term. A healthier life is a process, not a fixed endpoint. Change doesn’t happen overnight.

Experience you can trust

I’ve had the honour of helping 100s of clients transform their health. Each person’s situation is unique, but they share one thing in common: 100% of the people I’ve worked with 1-1 have experienced improvements.

I bring rich expertise in the relationship between physical and mental health and addictive cycles of behaviour, drawing on my training as a naturopathic nutritionist, nutrigenomics professional and accredited transpersonal coach.

Here’s what clients have to say

‘My symptoms have improved vastly. I was feeling very low and in a muddle. Lindsey helped me see through that with her advice and nutrition recommendations.

With her passion for wanting to share her experience and wealth of knowledge both on a personal level and educating herself as a nutritionist, I have found working with her inspiring, professional, informative, practical and fun. She has no hesitation in sharing anything she thinks would be of benefit. I found her to be approachable, open and straight-talking.

She provided me with lots of information in my protocols and in between our meetings if I felt I needed clarification she came back to me with the answer. Thank you.’ - JR, Cornwall

‘I felt I was at rock bottom, a complex mixed bag of poor physical health and poor mental health (trauma from others trauma was a lightbulb moment!) all intertwined with poor gut health, inflammation, histamine issues, hormone deficiencies, vitamin deficiencies.

Little by little, you have unravelled and focused on each of these issues with me, all whilst I felt comfortably wrapped in cotton wool!

I cannot thank you enough Lindsey - the whole process has been invaluable. Helping others from a platform of your own life experience means you can be truthful and open with your support.

Keep doing what you are doing, and those who will benefit most from Recovery Nutrition will find you!’ - TH, Wirral

‘The advice and guidance from Lindsey have been a huge support in making meaningful changes to improve my health. She is a knowledgeable, empowering and caring nutritionist.

I have improved gut health, better routines & diet overall, drink less alcohol and have a better understanding of the world of supplements. I’m kinder to myself, and I am now putting my own health higher up on the agenda.’ - HD, Norway
